Database of Patches for RPG_RT.exe

Welcome! On this page, we collect and showcase data about patches (mostly IPS) that were made for various builds of RPG_RT.exe, the engine of RPG Maker 2000/2003, including descriptions what they do, the offsets where they're changing stuff, sourcecodes (written in x86-ASM) and raw bytes.

To be really able to make use of stuff you find here, you should have at least some experience in programming with assembler-language.

Most IPS- and HPA-patches have differences in sourcecode depending on the RPG_RT-version they're made for. On subpages of such, you will encounter buttons that let you choose which of them to display.

Currently, 117 patches/variations/revisions are covered here.

Who maintains this website?

This page is part of a side-project of and hosted by Makerpendium.de, maintained by its staff members.

Can I have a copy of this to read offline?

Yes, we will start to offer a full package of the entire RPG_RT.exe patches database for download soon. The only parts different from the online-version are its mainpage (the one you're currently reading) and that it doesn't contain our archives header.

Where can I download patches?

Patches for RPG_RT.exe are spread around some different locations where they can be found. The three links below combined should contain access to almost all of them. You can also find links to individual patches inside their respective Wiki-pages at Makerpendium.de (in German).

What are all these functions for?

Sometimes we don't know, we just document the offsets of called functions in patch-sourcecode. If we know for sure what a function does, there will be notes / a pseudo-function-name next to it that tells you more about it.

Can I fork from this page?

As soon as we put up the offline-version of this page, you'll be allowed to mirror-host and extend all contents of the RPG_RT.exe patches database as long as keeping all credits for work that was done by others intact. Also, you must offer a copy for reading offline and generally allow others to fork from extended contents you've added to it aswell. You are not allowed to claim any patches and data on this page as your own that you haven't made by yourself.

Have Fun!

Most patches discussed on this page are developed by several third-party people not involved in creation of any of the documents we're offering here.

Keep in mind that the copyright-owner of RPG Maker never officially allowed using patches with any version other than 2003-1.10~1.12.
